Driving slowly...

Hey, guys, not talking about car driving but driving your life. My trip to Morocco last month has changed my life in many ways. I would love to share with you something that I've learnt from that experience. Driving slowly means appreciating the moment, living life now, not thinking about the future or past, which is also close to taoism idea. For european and american people it's so hard to just relax and do nothing for a moment. We are famous for wanting to change the situation no matter what it costs us, not analizing whether we can do this or not, whether it depends on us or not. It causes a lot of stress and damage to our body and soul and eventually we end up totally wiped out, tired and weak. We waste so much energy on thinking, moving and trying that we forget that we are created to live a peaceful life, not a crazy life. Ok, easy to say, not easy to do, right? Right! So start with small steps. Changing is a long process and may be really tiring at times, but you'll feel happy if you start getting first results, believe it or not! Here I have some helpful advice in case you wanna start changing your life already now:
1. When you are doing something, try not to think about anything else. Give yourself full time of enjoyment with doing only one thing. In the beginning you can pick up something you like as it is much harder to enjoy something you didn't like at first. Forget other things you are supposed to do and focus on only one thing you are doing right now.
2. Don't react on things whether its someone's words or actions immediately, give yourself time to think about the reasons why the person could act the certain way, what he could mean by his words. And also think about your reaction, what you could actually change about that. Is it usefull always blow up like a bomb or it is better to calm and after talk to a person.
3. Try to change only things you can change. Don't do useless moves to change things you can't change at all. Most of the time in our life we scream, and yell, and stress over something we wish was different. But we end up realizing there was actually nothing we could do about the situation. Believe me it requires a lot of wisdom to see the difference between God's will or heaven's will and a person's will. If we see that there is something in the certain situation that we can change we can act, but if at some point we realize there is nothing that can be done, the process of acception starts. Keep driving slowly, take a deep breath.
4. Learn to be alone and do nothing. Some of you probably read the book "Eat, pray, love", the woman from this book or an author took a one year trip to 3 countries in order to understand herself better, find peace and learn to live in the moment. I kind of remembered very good moment from the book when she makes a great breakfast for herself, serves it nicely and sits in her room absolutely alone, enjoy every second of this meal  and this moment. That's what we can also do once in a while. Some might say it's a time wasting or laziness but it's actually good for all your human being, as moments like these slow down the time, and you feel like you live a longer life, moments just don't go buy, but you sense every single part of them.
